Carter Phillips gana el European Poker Tour de Barcelona

El Casino de Barcelona ha reunido durante 6 días a los mejores jugadores internacionales de poker en la sexta temporada del European Poker Tour (EPT). El miércoles se celebró la final de este campeonato, que representa la competición de poker más popular de Europa tanto por su alto nivel de participación como por contar con la mayor bolsa de premios. En esta edición, han participado un total de 478 jugadores, que han elevado la bolsa de premios a 3.824.000 euros, de los cuales 850.000 estaban destinados para el ganador.

El jugador madrileño Santiago Terrazas ha hecho historia al quedar en tercera posición en este torneo, la mejor clasificación de un español en un EPT y ha estado muy cerca de alzarse con el primer puesto. Se trata del cuarto jugador español en llegar a una mesa final de un European Poker Tour tras Diego Pérez, Juan Maceiras y Raúl Mestre “Sir Donald”. Tras su brillante actuación en el EPT de Barcelona, Terrazas se ha situado entre los mejores jugadores de poker internacionales.

Carter Phillips, a la postre ganador del torneo, partía como uno de los favoritos para alzarse con la victoria y con los 850.000 euros del primer premio, una hazaña que ha conseguido tras una intensa final
